What is one legal issue or trend you’re keeping a close eye on this year?

The role of Artificial Intelligence in the ethical practice of law, assisting an attorney to zealously represent his or her client, is an important development which must be thoughtfully implemented.

What skills do you think are most crucial for new attorneys entering the field today?

Critical thinking, persuasive writing and oral communication, attention to detail.

What’s one misconception people often have about your area of law?

I don’t concern myself with misconceptions people may have but rather with righting a wrong suffered by my client with advocacy and persuasion based upon the evidence in a case.

How does the Rochester community influence your work or professional philosophy?

I believe that lawyers should commit themselves to the well-being and improvement of our Rochester community by participating in charitable and educational activities and organizations.

What’s your ideal way to spend a weekend in the Finger Lakes or Western New York?

My wife and I love the beauty of the Finger Lakes.
